John has been a historian at the Western Australian and Northern Territory Museums and his publications include Desperate Praise: The Australians in Vietnam, journal articles and numerous history and heritage research papers.
He lives in York, Western Australia and is the Honorary Editor of Military History monographs for Hesperian Press.
