Transcribed from the original logbooks of the Nantucket whaler and trader, Hezekiah Pinkham.

 These are the log books kept by young Hezekiah Pinkham after he went to sea as a teenager to learn the art of whaling from his uncle, Captain Andrew Pinkham.

They begin with the whaler Union in 1793, followed by the Boston Packet whaleship, then the whaler President, and then the cargo ships, William and Henry and

American Packet, the latter to the Mediterranean supplying the US Navy on their first overseas deployment attempting to destroy the Barbary Pirates.
